Join Tracy Sharpe for a fun-filled evening of award-winning spirits crafted in the Cawston. With a wide variety of gins, vodka, and unaged whiskey, Sharpe Distillery has something for everyone. Proud of the region they come from, Sharpe uses water from the Similkameen River, Cawston-grown produce and ingredients, and BC grain.

- Educational session focused on the process and flavours of Botanical Gin, Espelette Vodka, and Pisqu, Sharpe's version of Pisco

We'll welcome you with a beautifully crafted cocktail using some of these incredible spirits, fine-tuned by our very own Chief Shaker. You'll be given some time to settle in and order food before the learning begins, or join us early for happy hour from 2:00-5:00.

This experience is about 1.5 hours in length. We welcome you to stick around for a cocktail afterwards and pick up any missing bar supplies, glassware or Born to Shake products for your home bar.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to grab your seat. If you are buying separate tickets but would like to sit together, please drop us a note of the names of those in your party so we can plan your table.

During this masterclass, you will sample:

• Botanical Gin: The perfect blend of local lavender and botanicals with a warm cardamom finish makes this gin easy to sip neat. On the nose, it features cardamom and spices, with rose and chai underneath. On the palate, it's floral-forward with herbal and apothecary notes, finishing with a creamy, kettle-popcorn-like flavor. Awarded gold in the contemporary gin category at the 2024 Canadian Artisan Spirit Awards. 
• Espelette Vodka: Enjoy the flavour of authentic Espelette peppers picked just down the road from the distillery. The peppers are split, dried, and chopped into Sharpe's wheat vodka and soaked for 3 weeks before they're strained off and filtered. Fresh green and black pepper are on the nose with a sweet honey finish. You'll enjoy the spring-like aroma and smooth yet slightly spicy finish of this unique spirit. Perfect for those looking for an earthy flavor, this vodka offers the perfect balance of sweet and heat.
• Pisqu: Keeping with Pisco tradition, this special small-batch bottle holds a single distillation of Similkameen grape juice ferment aged in stainless steel for 3 months. You'll experience a subtle aroma of wine cellar, earth, wet barrel and oak. On tasting, you'll experience its creamy, earthy flavor, a sweet start, and a roller coaster of flavor, culminating in its creamy spice finish with notes of red pepper and grape. This special bottle won bronze in the brandy category, as well as the excellence in terroir award, at the 2024 Canadian Artisan Spirit awards.

Launched in 2023, Sharpe Distillery is the product of many years of planning and hard work, all fueled by a desire to honour the Sharpe family's rich tradition and legacy within their local community. Steeped in history without being stuck in the past, Sharpe crafts their spirits using tried-and-true methods, but with an eye towards innovation and experimentation.
